Essential Qualifications:
1) A Master's Degree in Physics/Meteorology/Atmospheric Sciences or equivalent with at least first class (60%) in the qualifying degree.
2) A Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Instrumentation/Communication Engineering or equivalent with at least first class (60%) in the qualifying degree.
3) 21 years experience in teaching (at graduate or post graduate level), research and development, planning, supervision or training etc in the relevant fields.
Desirable Qualifications:
1) Doctorate in a branch of Science/Engineering/Technology or equivalent;
2) Master's degree in Electronics/Instrumentation/Communication Engineering or equivalent;
3) Doctorate degree shall count as three years experience;
4) Who ever does not have the workable knowledge of Hindi, he/she shall be required to acquire the same during his/her probation period.
