Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh Transport Undertaking invites Online Applications from the eligible Indian Nationals for the post of Helper in various Disciplines on regular basis (including backlog of SC=10 posts). Eligible Persons submit Online Registration form from 11th July 2014 to 11th August 2014.

Age Limit (as on 1st January 2014): Between 18 to 25 years (Relaxation in upper age limit for SC-05 years, for OBC-03 years and for Physically Handicapped -10 years. For Ex-Servicemen & Departmental candidate as per rules).
Scale of Pay: Rs. 5910-20200 + 1900 Grade Pay plus usual allowances as admissible from time to time.
Educational Qualifications: Matriculation and Should have a certificate from ITI or any other Govt. Recognized Technical Institution in relevant trade.
Processing Fee: Rs. 400/- for General and OBC categories Rs.200/- for SC and Ex-Servicemen categories. Physically Handicapped persons are exempted from processing fee.
Selection Process: Written Test (scheduled to be conducted in the mid of September / October 2014)
Written Test: The written test will be of objective type having multiple choice answers. The question paper for written test (Objective Type) will consist of two parts 'A' & 'B' as under:-
Part 'A' - Questions based on the relevant trades (Trade-wise) (60% of the total questions)
Part 'B' - General Knowledge / General Awareness (Common for all) and General Safety at Workshop. (40% of the total questions).
The number of questions will be 100 to 120 carrying one mark for each. There will be no negative marking. The duration of written test will be of 02 hours. The final selection will be made on the basis of the merit of the written test. If more than one candidate are at the same cut off point / marks, the candidate older in age will be considered for selection. There will be no personal interview. The waiting lists in each category will also be prepared.
