IIG Navi Mumbai invites applications for One position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a project on the “Development of Artificial Neural-Network based 3-dimensional Ionospheric Model (ANNIM)”, sponsored by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India. Educational Qualifications:
(1) Essential: First class or equivalent GPA in M.Sc/ M.Sc (Tech.)/ M.Tech in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics/ Mathematics with First Class in Bachelor’s Degree level or B.E/ B.Tech/ M.E./ M.Tech in Computer Science/ Information technology/ Electronics and Communication Engineering. (2) Qualification in CSIR/UGC NET (JRF or lecture ship) or GATE or National level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions.
(3) Desirable: Programming skills in FORTRAN/ MATLAB/ PYTHON on Unix/Linux based platforms.
Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview.

Educational Qualifications:
Technical Officers: First or high second class Master's degree (Post Graduate) in Maths / Physics / Geophysics or relevant discipline.
Senior Technical Assistant: B.E. or M.E. in Computer Engineering. Minimum 02 years relevant experience.
Superintendent: Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with 5 years experience in the lower grade or equivalent in similar capacity in administration and related work in a Govt. / Semi Govt./ Public Sector undertaking / Private Sector of repute.
Assistant: Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with 3 years experience as UDC or equivalent post in a Govt. / Semi Govt. / Public Sector undertaking/ Private Sector of repute.
UDC: Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce. Minimum 02 years experience in administration and related work in a Govt. / Semi Govt. / Public Sector undertaking / Private Sector of repute.
LDC: Matriculation or equivalent qualification. Knowledge of computer operation and a minimum typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English/Hindi. Typing test will be conducted on computer.
Application Fee: ₹ 300/- by crossed demand draft in favour of Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, New Panvel. No fee for SC, ST, PWD and women candidates.
