Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) Cuttack issued recruitment advertisement for Odisha Judicial Service Examination (OJS) 2014. Eligible candidates are required to Apply Online from 7th March 2014 to 7th April 2014.

Age Relaxation: 5 Years in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.), Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (S.E.B.C.), Women and Orthopaedically Handicapped (O.H.); The maximum age limit in respect of Departmental candidates is not more than 39 years.
Educational Qualifications:
(1) A candidate must be a Graduate in Law of a University or Institution recognized by the Government.
(2) A Superintendent or a Ministerial Officer in the High Court or any Civil or Criminal Court sub-ordinate to the High Court or an Assistant Law Officer or Translator of the Law Department of Government, shall also be eligible for appearing at the Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Civil Judges in Odisha Judicial Service, if he/she is a Graduate in Law of a University recognized by the Government, has approved service in the High Court or in any Civil or Criminal Court sub-ordinate to the High Court or in the Law Department of not less than seven years by the last date fixed for submission of online applications for the said Competitive Examination, has been recommended by the respective appointing authority; and is not more than 39 (thirty nine years) of age on the 1st August. 2014. 'Approved Service' for this purpose means qualifying service as defined in the Odisha Civil Service (Pension) Rules, 1992.
Selection Process: Preliminary Written Examination and Main Written Examination. The preliminary written examination may be held at 5 zonal centres; viz Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack & Sambalpur. The preliminary written examination is likely to be held in the month of May 2014. The Main Written Examination is likely to be held in the month of July 2014.
Application Fee: Rs.300/-. The candidates are required to take a printout of the finally submitted Online Application Form for future use and take a printout of Online Challan (Pay-in-Slip) for payment of requisite fee at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI). The Last Date For Receipt of Application Fee at Any SBI Branch Is 11/04/2014.

Selection Process: The selection of candidates for recruitment to the post will be made on the basis of career assessment and Viva Voce Test. The Commission at their discretion may short-list the candidates to a reasonable number ,for conducting interview by making a preliminary selection either on the basis of evaluation of their academic career taking into account the requisite minimum educational qualification or by conducting a preliminary written test.

Candidates are required to send the Printout/Hard copy of the filled in Online Application Form duly signed under the declaration along with copies of required certificates and documents etc. and the OPSC copy of Challan showing payment of application fee, by Registered Post/Speed Post/Courier Service to "The Special Secretary, Odisha Public Service Commission, 19, Dr. P.K. Parija Road, Cuttack-753001" so as to reach the same in the office of the OPSC on or before 12/03/2014.
The envelope containing the printout/hard copy of the online application along with copies of requisite certificates and documents etc. must be superscribed "APPLICATION FOR LECTURER IN_______________ (Concerned Subject)(O.T.E.&T.S. Cadre)".
