✅ Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST and OBC candidates applying against unreserved vacancies are not eligible for age relaxation. SC/ST candidates remain exempt from the fee.
- PwBD: 10 years for Technical Officer, Technician (1) and MTS. Not available for Security Officer and Security Assistant, as these posts are not identified for PwBD.
- Ex-Servicemen: admissible for all five posts, by deducting military service, subject to the resultant age not exceeding the upper limit by more than 3 years.
- Departmental (CSIR) / Government / Autonomous Body / PSU employees: 5 years, only for Technical Officer and Technician (1), subject to 3 years’ continuous regular service.
- Widows, divorced women and judicially separated women who have not remarried: admissible for Technician (1) and MTS, up to 35 years (40 years for SC/ST and 38 years for OBC on reserved posts). Not admissible for Technical Officer, Security Officer and Security Assistant.
✅ CSIR AMPRI 2026 Selection Process:
- Technical Officer: Screening, qualifying Trade Test, then written examination of three papers. Paper-I is Mental Ability (50 questions, 100 marks, no negative marking, 1 hour). Paper-II is General Awareness and English (50 questions, 150 marks, 1 negative mark, 30 minutes). Paper-III is the concerned subject (100 questions, 300 marks, 1 negative mark, 90 minutes). Merit is based on Paper-II and Paper-III. Total time is 3 hours. Standard is PG Diploma / Post Graduation / B.E. / B.Tech level.
- Technician (1): Screening, qualifying Trade Test, then written examination of three papers (150 questions, 2 hours 30 minutes, SSC+ITI / Class 12 standard). Merit is based on Paper-II and Paper-III. Paper-II and Paper-III carry 1 negative mark for each wrong answer.
- Security Officer: Screening, physical standards and physical test, then written examination. Paper-I is objective (100 marks, threshold 30%, no negative marking). Paper-II is subjective (Comprehension, Report Writing, Security Regulations and Firefighting, and General Awareness, 100 marks, threshold not less than 35%). Final merit is based on Paper-II. Male height 167 cm (165 cm hilly area, 162.5 cm ST) and chest 80–85 cm.
- Security Assistant: Physical and personality assessment test (qualifying), then competitive written examination of 100 marks at Class 12 standard. Threshold is not less than 35%. Physical standards are the same as for Security Officer.
- Multi-Tasking Staff: Competitive written test of 150 questions and 450 marks in 2 hours (2 hours 40 minutes for eligible scribe candidates), Class 10 standard. One negative mark for each wrong answer. Subjects are General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English.

- ₹500/- for each post code, non-refundable, through SBI Collect / online payment gateway only.
- Exempted: SC, ST, PwBD, Women and Ex-Servicemen, on uploading the relevant certificate.

✅ How to Apply for CSIR AMPRI Recruitment 2026:
Eligible candidates must apply ONLINE ONLY on the CSIR-AMPRI website. Government, CSIR, autonomous body, university and PSU employees must upload NOC, failing which the application will not be considered.
➢ Step 1: Visit ampri.res.in and open Recruitment of Technical and Isolated Posts under Advt. No. RECT-02/2026.
➢ Step 2: Register with name, email ID and mobile number, then complete the online application.
➢ Step 3: Pay ₹500 for each post code through SBI Collect, if applicable, and upload the e-receipt. SC, ST, PwBD, Women and Ex-Servicemen are exempted.
➢ Step 4: Upload photograph, signature and certificates, each up to 1 MB, including 10th certificate, qualification, category and experience documents.
