Desirable: Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in relevant discipline, post-doctoral experience, high-impact publications, and experience in crop breeding/genomics (for Genetics & Plant Breeding) or cell & developmental biology (for Developmental Biology). Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: 40 Years (for both posts)
Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other categories as per Central Government rules. Relaxable up to 5 years for Government servants and employees of Autonomous Research Organisations/Universities etc. The crucial date for determining age and eligibility is the closing date of application.

ARI Pune Scientist Selection Process 2026
Selection will be based on shortlisting of applications followed by Personal Interview. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates called for interview based on qualifications, experience, publications and other criteria. Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro Two Tier AC rail fare by the shortest route. There will be a probation period of one year.
