✅ BHU Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit for Non-Teaching / KVK posts (L-6 to L-1): 18–30 years (UR), 18–33 years (OBC), 18–35 years (SC/ST) as on the last date of online application. Widows / divorced / judicially separated women (not remarried): 18–35 years (40 years for SC/ST). Age relaxation for BHU project / contractual / daily-wage service as per advertisement.
- Scientific posts (AL-10 / AL-13A / AL-14): As per UGC Regulations, 2018 / ICAR guidelines mentioned in Annexure-A.
- Appointment Type: Temporary / contract for maximum 05 years or deputation as per GoI terms. All posts are co-terminus with the project. No absorption in regular BHU posts.
Qualification (short – post group wise):
- AL-14 (Chief / Principal Scientist): M.Sc.(Ag.) + Ph.D. in concerned subject with B.Sc.(Ag.) / B.Sc.(Hons.) Ag. and prescribed research / teaching experience.
- AL-13A (Senior Scientist / Head): Ph.D. in concerned / allied subject + Master’s with 55% + 8 years experience equivalent to Assistant Professor / Scientist, with required publications / research score.
- AL-10 / L-10 (Jr. Scientist / SMS / Scientist / ASPO): M.Sc.(Ag.) / M.V.Sc. / M.Tech in relevant subject with B.Sc.(Ag.) / B.V.Sc. and NET (ICAR/UGC/CSIR) where prescribed. NET not required for specified KVK SMS posts as per Annexure-A.
- L-6 (Assistant / Programme Assistant / Farm Manager / STA / Head Clerk): B.Sc.(Ag.) / B.Sc. Computer / Graduation + Computer Diploma / M.Sc.(Ag.) or B.Sc.(Ag.) with prescribed experience.
- L-5 / L-4 / L-3: M.Sc.(Ag.) or B.Sc.(Ag.) with experience; 12th + Stenography skill; B.Sc.(Ag.)/I.Sc. with experience; High School + heavy vehicle licence for Driver.

- AL-10 and above: Shortlisting as per UGC Regulations, 2018 + Interview. University may apply additional criteria / written test for Group A posts.
- Level-1 to Level-6: Written Test. Shortlisted candidates may also be called for Skill Test (as required), including stenography / driving test.
