Successful candidates will be appointed as Scientific Officers (Group-A Gazetted post) in one of the DAE units.

- Engineering Disciplines: BE/BTech/BSc(Engg)/5-year Integrated MTech in relevant branches (Civil, Chemical, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MT) with minimum 60% marks. Valid GATE score (2024/2025/2026) optional for screening.
- Physics: MSc/Integrated MSc in Physics or BE/BTech/MTech in Engineering Physics with 60% marks.
- Chemistry: MSc/Integrated MSc in Chemistry (with Physics & Maths up to BSc or subsidiary level) with 60% marks.
- Biosciences: MSc/Integrated MSc in relevant Life/Bio/Food Sciences or BTech Food Technology with 60% marks.
- Geology: MSc/Integrated MSc or MTech in Geology/Applied Geology with 60% marks.
