✅ Eligibility Criteria:
✔️ Age Limit:
18-33 years (UR) as on 01/07/2025. Relaxations: SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, Ex-Servicemen: Service + 3 years, PWD: 10-15 years, J&K Domiciled (1980-89): 5 years, Railway Staff (3+ years): up to 40-45 years, Quasi-Administrative Staff: Service or 5 years, Widowed/Divorced Women: up to 35-40 years, Act Apprentices: Training period.
✔️ Educational & Scouts and Guides Qualifications:
Level 2 (Group C): 12th (+2) with 50% marks (not required for SC/ST/Ex-SM or graduates) or 10th + ITI/Act Apprenticeship for technical posts. Scouts and Guides: President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge holder, active member for 5 years (Annexure-1 certificate), attended 2 National/All Indian Railway + 2 State events.
Level 1 (Group D): 10th pass (Matriculation) or ITI/equivalent or NAC by NCVT. Same Scouts and Guides qualifications as Level 2.
Note: 10th/Matriculation certificate mandatory for date of birth. No relaxation in education/Scouts and Guides qualifications. Serving government employees need NOC.
✅ Selection Process:
✔️ Written Test (60 marks): 40 objective questions (40 marks, 1/3rd negative marking) and 1 essay question (20 marks) on Scouts and Guides organization and general knowledge (60 minutes, Hindi/English, held in Delhi).
✔️ Certificate Marks (40 marks): National Events (10), State Events (10), Specialized Courses (10), District Rallies (10). Minimum eligibility certificates score nil; additional events/courses score 7-10 marks.
✔️ Document Verification: Original certificates required. Medical fitness test follows..
✅ Application Fee:
✔️ ₹ 500/- for UR/OBC/Male candidates (non-refundable).
✔️ ₹ 250/- for SC/ST/Women/Minorities/EBC (refundable if appearing in written test).
✔️ Payment via online mode only; use own account for refunds.
✅ How to Apply for Northern Railway Scouts and Guides Recruitment 2025:
➢ Eligible candidates must apply online through the RRC Northern Railway website from 22/05/2025 (12:00 hrs) to 22/06/2025 (12:00 hrs).
➢ Complete the application in parts (Part I: Registration, Part II: Application Form, Part III: Fee Payment, Part IV: Upload Documents, Part V: Payment Details, Part VI: Print). Upload: photograph in full Scout/Guide uniform (male with Baret cap), signature, thumb impression, 10th certificate, educational/Scouts and Guides certificates (President Scout/Guide, 5-year activeness, event certificates), caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC), minority/EBC certificate, and NOC (if employed).
➢ Pay the fee online. Separate applications/fees required for Level 1 and Level 2. Save/print the application and payment slip.
