Public Works Department (Assam PWD - APWD), Government of Assam invites applications from eligible Indian Citizens for recruitment post of Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer for filling up 463 vacancies under Regulation 3(f) of the Assam Public Service Commission (Limitation of Functions) Regulations, 1951. The appointment will be purely on ad hoc basis for a period of 04 months and to become eligible for regular appointment.

Educational Qualifications:
| Assistant Engineer (Civil) –> | Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering of an Indian or Foreign University recognised by the Government. (OR) Passed parts A & B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) and possessing a certificate to that effect from the Institution of Engineers (India). |
| Junior Engineer (Civil) –> | Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised Institute. |
Selection Process: Written Test / Interview. All original documents must be produced at the time of interview for physical verification.
(1) The selection will be done on the basis of total marks obtained in the written test (160 Marks) and viva‐voce/ interview (40 Marks). (2) The Department will hold Multiple Choice Objective Type Written Examination for Paper I and Part I of Paper II and Multiple Choice Objective Type Written Examination/ Short Descriptive Type Examination for Parts II & III of Paper II.
(3) The Syllabus for Paper I (Civil Engineering) and Paper II (General Studies) will be available in the Departmental Website.
Application Fee: ₹ 250/- for General, ₹ 125/- for SC / ST / OBC candidates. The fee shall be paid online through the payment gateway.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates are required to apply in prescribed form through online mode only. The online registration portal (PWD Roads, Assam) open from 24th August 2018 and close on 7th September 2018 up to Midnight.
