- Higher Secondary or equivalent with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

- Higher Secondary or equivalent with 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- Higher Secondary or equivalent with 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Paper-II (For Classes VI-VIII):
- Graduation and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
- Graduation with 45% marks and passed/appearing in final year of B.Ed. as per NCTE Regulations.
