Indian Navy invites applications from unmarried Men and Women candidates for recruitment of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Executive Branch (Pilot/ Observer entry) & Education Branch and unmarried eligible male for Permanent Commission (PC) in Executive Branch (Logistics Cadre) of the Indian Navy for course commencing Jan 2020 at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala. Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech degree in any discipline. Post Graduate (M.Sc. / M.A.) / Degree (B.Sc. / B.Com / B.Sc. IT).

Selection Process:

(1) Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to short-list applications and to fix cut off percentage. No communication will be entertained on this account.
(2) SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled from May 19 to August 19 at Bangalore for pilot & observer candidates and at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam/ Kolkata for other branches/ entries. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their e-mail or through SMS (provided by candidates in their application form).
(3) The total duration of SSB interviews is five days consisting of stage I (Day one) and stage II (Four days). Stage I Tests; consist of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Group Discussion Tests. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be sent back on the same day from SSB Centre. Stage II Tests consists of Psychological Tests, Group Task Tests and Interview. Successful candidates will undergo medical examination (approx 3-5 days). Candidates of Pilot entry are required to undergo PABT (Pilot aptitude battery test) followed by Aviation medical examination. Candidates of Observer entry are also required to undergo Aviation medical examination.
(4) Candidates recommended by the SSBs, cleared PABT (for Pilot Entry) and declared medically fit will be appointed for training based on merit list and vacancies available.

The Indian Navy invites unmarried and Women Indian Citizens to join Indian Navy as Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer in Executive Branch (Logistics and Law Cadres) and Unmarried Men as Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer for Information Technology and Permanent Commission (PC) Officers in Education Branch for course commencing July 2019. (b) Eye sight: The minimum acceptable vision standards for distant vision is 6/60 in both eyes, correctable with glasses to 6/6 in better eye & 6/12 in worst eye. Should not be colour/night blind.

(c) Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body, however, certain concessions are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal areas communities as declared by the Government of India. For other candidates permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of elbow to wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Selection Procedure:

(a) IHQ of MoD reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off/based on percentage of marks obtained in BE/B. Tech without assigning any reason. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam during Dec 17 to Mar 18. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their e-mail or through SMS (provided by candidates in their application form).
(b) The total duration of SSB interviews is five days consisting of two Stages - Stage I (Day one) and Stage II (Four days). Stage I test consisting of Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion test will be conducted on the first day of arrival at SSB. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II tests comprising of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 days).
(c) Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be appointed for training as per All India Merit of SSB marks depending on the number of vacancies.
(d) Change of SSB Centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstance.
(e) Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates be addressed to the call up officer of the SSB on receipt of call up letter. Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from IHQ-MoD (Navy) at SMS/e-mail (provided by candidate in their application).
(f) No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of test during SSB interviews.
(g) Return AC 3 tier/AC Chair Car rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for that type of commission on production of railway tickets. Candidates will carry photocopy of the first page of pass book or cheque leaf where the name, A/C No & IFSC details are mentioned, while appearing for SSB.
