National Museum Institute (NMI) (Deemed to be University), New Delhi invites applications from eligible candidates for 03 vacancy position of Apprentice in History of Art, Conservation and Museology Departments for the Project "Skill Development and Museum Apprenticeship Programme" for the students of National Museum Institute on a consolidated stipend under its Capacity Building Programme for a period of 1 year in collaboration with the National Museum. Essential Qualifications: Candidates should have completed all course requirements including presentation of seminars and submission of the M.A dissertation (under evaluation).

Commencement of Apprenticeship: Tentatively in August 2017

Duration of Apprenticeship: One Year

Mode of Selection: (i) Merit in M. A examination (50%); (ii) Interview (30%); (iii) Statement of Purpose (20%). In case of tie between students, B.A. marks will be considered.

Essential Qualifications:

Assistant Professor (Museology) ->

(1) Good academic record with not less than 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in Museology or Master's degree Conservation with not less than 55% marks from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
(2) The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(3) Candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET.

Assistant Registrar (Academic) ->

(1) Master's degree with at least 55 % of marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale with good academic record (5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities category)
(2) At least three years experience in supervisory or equivalent cadre in a Group B Post in a government department / University / Educational or Research experience along with proven administrative capabilities.
(3) All the direct recruits should possess working knowledge of computers
(4) Period of probation: 2 years
(5) In case of recruitment by deputation/ transfer, grades from which deputation/ transfer to be made.
