Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North Central Railway (NCR), Balmiki Chauraha, Nawab Yusuf Road, Prayagraj invites Online applications from Scouts and Guides Persons for recruitment of Group 'C' and Erstwhile Group 'D' posts against Scouts & Guides Quota 2023-24. Pay Scale: ₹ 5200 – 20200 with corresponding Grade Pay ₹ 1800 / ₹ 1900.
Age Limit:
(a) Candidates applying for Grade Pay Rs. 1900 (Pay Matrix Level – 02) should be aged between 18 to 30 as on 01.01.2024. (i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1994 and not later than 01.01.2006).
(b) Candidates applying for Grade Pay Rs. 1800 (Pay Matrix Level – 01) should be aged between 18 to 33 as on 01.01.2024. (i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1991 and not later than 01.01.2006).
Educational Qualification:
(a) For Pay Matrix Level–2 (Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-): The candidate should have minimum qualification of Intermediate or equivalent examination passed with 50% aggregate from any recognized Board/University. The condition of 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen and the candidates possessing higher qualification i.e. Graduation/ Post Graduation etc. from a recognized University. For Technical Posts: Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT (OR) Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship.
(b) For Pay Matrix Level–1 (Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-): The candidate should have minimum qualification of 10th pass from any recognized Board or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Minimum Scouts and Guides Qualifications:The candidate should possess the following certificates in support of his/her Scouts & Guides qualification:-
(a) A President’s Scout/ Guide/ Ranger/ Rover OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) Holder in any section;
(b) Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for at least 5 years. The ‘Certificate of Activeness’ should be as per Annexure ‘C’.
(c) Should have attended two event at National level OR All India Railways’ level AND Two events at State level.
Mode of Selection: Recruitment should be done at the Zonal Administration level. The candidates, who apply in response to the notification and are found eligible for consideration for appointment against Scouts & Guides quota, shall be assessed on the basis of following criteria:-
(A) Written test - 50 Marks
(B) Scouting Skill Assessment- 10 Marks
(C) Marks on Certificates - 40 Marks
Examination Fee: ₹ 500/- for General Candidates; ₹ 250/- for Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economic Backward Classes with a provision for refunding the same to those who actually appear in the written examination.
How to Apply for North Central Railway Scouts and Guides Quota 2023:
Eligible candidates should apply online through RRC Prayagraj official website (www.rrcpryj.org / sagq.rrcpryj.org). The Candidates should ensure that their Name, Father's Name, Date of Birth should exactly match as recorded in Matriculation or equivalent certificate.
The candidates are required to upload scanned copy of Signature (in English or in Hindi), Photograph and other required documents. The closing date for submission of online registration is 24/12/2023 up to 23:59 Hours.
