Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company Limited (GESCOM), Karnataka State invites Online Application from qualified and eligible (Male and Female) candidates for recruitment of Assistant Lineman in Electrician/Electronics/Electronic Mechanic Trade (Female Only) and Lineman/Electrician trade (Both Male & Female). Online Registration start from 16th June 2014 to 16th July 2014.

Age Limit: 18 to 35 Years for General; 38 Years for Category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB candidates; 40 Years for SC/ ST and Category I candidates.

Other Qualifications:
(a) Should have knowledge of Kannada in reading and writing.
(b) Should have normal eye sight.
(c) Should have satisfactory physical fitness and shall qualify in the Endurance Test.
Eligibility: The candidates who have obtained minimum percentage of marks as prescribed below in the respective qualifying examinations only are eligible to apply for the posts.

Selection Process:
(a) Recruitment to the posts of Assistant Lineman will be made by selection strictly on merit, based on the marks secured in the Qualifying Examination only.
(b) Eligible candidates will be called for Endurance Test in the ratio of 1:5.
(c) Medical Examination will be conducted from the competent Medical officer during the endurance test and the candidate should have satisfactory physical fitness.
(d) Endurance test will be conducted in the following events:-
| 100 meters Running | : 14 seconds |
| Skipping | : 50 times in one minute |
| Shot put 12 pounds | : 8 meters throw (3opportunities) |
| Climbing of Electric Pole | : 8 meters height (compulsory) |
| 800 meters running | : 3 minutes. |
Application Fee: Rs 400/- for General Category and Category-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB. Rs.200/- for SC/ ST category. The fee pay through Online (Net Banking option, any Bank ATM cum Debit card, Internet Banking) / Offline (pay by Challan at any of the State Bank of India Branches) Mode. Application fees shall be paid during the hours between 16/06/2014 and 16/07/2014 only.
