Age Limit: 18 to 33 Years as on 01/01/2015. Age Relaxation - 03 Years for OBC, 05 Years for SC/ST.
Educational Qualification: Minimum 10th pass from the Recognized State Level Education Board, or ITI or equivalent or above.
Selection Process: Written Examination and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
Written Test -> Its shall be based on 10th class standard consisting of 100 multiple objective type questions including general knowledge/awareness, mathematics and reasoning etc. Those who qualify in the written examination will be called for Physically Efficiency Test (PET) and those qualify in the PET will be called for scrutiny of documents as per merit order.
PET -> Male candidates should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance and Female candidates, should be able to run for a distance of 400 meters in 3 minutes and 10 seconds in one chance.

(b) Other than Konkan Railway land losers, only ST candidates from Employment Exchanges with valid registration along Konkan Railway route within the jurisdiction of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (Raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri Districts of Maharashtra; Goa State; and Karwar, Udupi and South Kannada Districts of Karnataka) are eligible.
(c) Employees/Trainees of Konkan Railway are not eligible.
Educational Qualifications: Three Years Diploma in Electronics/ Applied Electronics/ Power Electronics/ Industrial Electronics/ Electrical from a recognized Technical Board/ University.
Selection Process: The candidates will have to pass the prescribed medical examination as per railways standards to be conducted at the candidate's cost by Konkan Railway Corporation's Medical Authorities.
