State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT), Government of Punjab issued examination notification of Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test - 2013-2014 (PSTET). The Department of School Education, Punjab conducting PSTET exam 2013-14 for selecting eligible persons for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII.
Eligible Punjab state candidates are advised to fill Online Registration from 20th November 2013 to 10th December 2013. SCERT, Punjab will hold PSTET Written Exam (PSTET-I & PSTET-II) on 28th December 2013 (Sunday).

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage) ->
1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). (OR)
2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. (OR)
3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).(OR)
4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). (OR)
5. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage) ->
1. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).(OR)
2. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).(OR)
3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.(OR)
4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).(OR)
5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.(OR)
5. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Only Paper I or II -> Rs.500/- for General / BC / OBC Category; Rs.300 /- for SC / ST Category / Differently Abled Category candidates.
Both Paper I & II -> Rs.1000/- for General / BC / OBC Category; Rs.600 /- for SC / ST Category / Differently Abled Category candidates.
The fee payment mode - Payment through Challan through Cash Deposit in AXIS Bank / Online payment through Credit / Debit Card.
