The Services Selection Board has been constituted in exercise of powers conferred by Provision of Section 124 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir. The board has controlling and conducting various recruitment examination and interview for selecting suitable candidates for the Non-Gazetted categories of posts: State Cadre Posts, Divisional Cadre Posts and District Cadre Posts.

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has been established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India. The commission to conduct examinations for appointments to the services of the Union and the service of the State respectively.
