Directorate General Border Security Force (BSF) Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs - will hold an an All India Examination for recruitment to the post of Assistant Aircraft Mechanic (Assistant Sub-Inspector) in BSF Air Wing for the year-2013.

Age Relaxation: Up to the age of 40 years - Govt. Servant (Unreserved) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date; 05 Years - Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 (Unreserved); 05 Years - Children and dependent family of those killed in the Communal riots of the year 1984 and Gujarat riots of the year 2002 (Unreserved).
Educational Qualifications: Three years Diploma in the relevant trade recognized by the Directorate General Civil Aviation; OR Group "X" Diploma issued by the Indian Air Force; Preferably two years relevant aviation experience after completion of Diploma course (to be prescribed from time to time).

Medical Standards:
Eye Sight: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction (i.e. without wearing of glasses).
The candidate must not have knock knees, Flat Foot, Varicose Veins or squint in eyes and they should possesses high colour vision.
They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect or deformity likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Examination Fee: Demand Draft/Postal Order for Rs. 50/- in favour of 'Commandant 25 BN BSF’ Payable at SBI - ADB Najafgarh, Code No - 001419. The fee is exempted for all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, BSF Candidates, Ex-Servicemen.
How To Apply: Application in the prescribed format. Three recent passport size photographs should be attached to the application. One each photograph to be affixed on the application form and admit card and third one to be kept in record. Two self-addressed envelopes of 'size of 25 xl2 ems' with postal stamp worth Rs. 39/- each should also be attached with the application form. The envelope containing application must be super scribed in bold letters as "APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (ASSISTANT SUB-INSPECTOR) IN BSF AIR WING-2013.”
