Qualification & Experience:
Assistant Professor - Ph.D. with First class in the preceding examination in appropriate branch(60% or CGPA of 6.5 as applicable,where class is not awarded).Relevant Experience – Minimum 3 years after Ph.D. or 6 years total (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period) after obtaining M. Tech. degree, in a position of Assistant Professor or equivalent with grade pay of not less than Rs 6000, working in any IIT/NIT/university/deemed university/ institute/ college/ industries/ CSIR or similar research institutions or as Post Doctoral Fellow in a reputed Institute/university.
Assistant Professor (on Contract) - Ph.D. with First class in the preceding examination in appropriate branch (60% or CGPA of 6.5 as applicable, where class is not awarded). Experience - Minimum one year after Ph.D in a position of Assistant Professor or equivalent with grade pay of not less than Rs 6000, working in any IIT/NIT/university/deemed university/ institute/ college/ industries/ CSIR or similar research institutions or as Post Doctoral Fellow in a reputed Institute/university.

Application Fee: Rs. 600 in the form of Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “NIT Durgapur” payable at SBI, R.E. College Branch, Durgapur, Code No.: 2108. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from paying any application fee.
