Educational Qualification:

(i) Assistant Professor in Engineering Subjects: B.E. or B.Tech. and M.E. or M.Tech.  in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology with First Class or its equivalent either in B.E. or B.Tech. or M.E. or M.Tech. 
(ii)  Assistant Professor in Non-Engineering Subjects (English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry):  Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with good academic record of not less than 55% of marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from a foreign University; and  Pass in the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturers conducted by the UGC, Council
for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission.

Application Form Fee: The Application Form (OMR Format) along with Prospectus can be obtained (from  21.02.2012 to 05.03.2012) in person from the Office of Directorate of Technical Education [DOTE] Chennai  – 600 025 / Principals of Government & Government-Aided Engineering and Polytechnic Colleges on payment of Rs.50/- ( Rupees Fifty Only) in cash towards the cost of the Application Form and Prospectus.

Examination Fee: The candidates are requested to pay the examination fees Rs.600/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST and Physically Challenged) and the Bank Charges Rs.50/- in any Branch of  STATE BANK OF INDIA using only the prescribed challan attached with the prospectus.

How To Apply: The candidates should submit the filled in application forms in person to the Office of the Directorate of Technical Education [DOTE], Chennai – 600 025 / Principals of Government &
Government-Aided Engineering and Polytechnic Colleges, from where they obtained the application on or before 05.03.2012 (Monday) at 5.30 P.M. and obtain acknowledgement on the photocopy of the filled and signed application form.
