Technical Assistant trades include Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, Information Technology, Civil, Chemical, Fire & Safety, Physics and Chemistry. Technician ‘B’ trades include Fitter, ICT System Maintenance, Electrician, Electronics, Electronics Mechanic, Instrumentation, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Draughtsman (Civil/Mechanical), Fire & Safety, Plumber and Mechanic (Diesel). Reservation details (UR, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, ESM, PwBD) are as per the detailed notification. Candidates can apply for both Technical Assistant and Technician ‘B’ (separate applications and fees required).
✅ SCL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria (as on closing date):
- Administrative Officer / Accounts Officer / Purchase & Stores Officer: Graduate/Post Graduate Degree or MBA in relevant field (HR/Finance/Material Management) with required post-qualification experience (Graduate with 10 years / Post Graduate with 5 years / MBA with 2 years) in the respective domain at supervisory level. Knowledge of Govt. rules and regulations. Age: Not exceeding 35 years.
- Junior Personal Assistant: 12th Pass + Dictation 10 minutes @ 80 w.p.m. and Transcription 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi) on Computer. Age: Not exceeding 25 years.
- Technical Assistant: First Class Diploma (3 years full time) in relevant trade or First Class B.Sc. (for Electronics/Physics/Chemistry etc.) from a recognized Institute + 2 years post-qualification experience in R&D institute/reputed organization/Industry. Age: 18 to 30 years.
- Technician ‘B’: Matriculation/SSLC + 2 years ITI (NCVT) in the relevant trade or National Apprenticeship Certificate/National Trade Certificate + 2 years post-qualification experience. Age: 18 to 27 years.
Experience should have been obtained after possessing the essential educational qualification. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and serving employees of Autonomous societies under MeitY etc. as per Government rules. ✅ SCL Recruitment 2026 Pay and Allowances:
- Administrative Officer / Accounts Officer / Purchase & Stores Officer (Level 10): Initial Basic Pay ₹56,100/- (Total Emoluments approx. ₹1,06,740/- per month).
- Technical Assistant (Level 7): Initial Basic Pay ₹44,900/- (Total Emoluments approx. ₹83,700/- per month).
- Junior Personal Assistant (Level 4): Initial Basic Pay ₹25,500/- (Total Emoluments approx. ₹48,780/- per month).
- Technician ‘B’ (Level 3): Initial Basic Pay ₹21,700/- (Total Emoluments approx. ₹41,940/- per month).
In addition to Basic Pay, DA, HRA (if not availing SCL Housing), Transport Allowance will be paid. Employees will be governed by National Pension System (NPS). Other facilities include medical facilities, subsidized canteen, Children Education Allowance, Group Insurance, LTC etc. Present posting is at SCL, S.A.S. Nagar. SCL reserves the right to post anywhere in India.
✅ SCL Recruitment 2026 Examination Fee:
- Non-refundable Processing Fee of ₹600/- for all posts. Application Fee is refundable to eligible candidates (Women/SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen) who appear in the CBT.
- Total Fees: Group A posts – ₹1,500/-, Group B (Technical Assistant) – ₹1,300/-, Group C posts – ₹1,200/-.
- Fee is payable online. Candidates must enter correct bank account details for refund of Application Fee.
✅ SCL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process:
- Administrative Officer / Accounts Officer / Purchase & Stores Officer: Computer Based Test (CBT) + Personal Interview. Weightage 60:40. Shortlisting for interview in the ratio of 1:5.
- Junior Personal Assistant: CBT + Skill Test (Stenography). Selection based on CBT marks subject to qualifying Skill Test.
- Technical Assistant & Technician ‘B’: CBT + Skill Test (Trade-wise, go-no-go basis). Final selection based on CBT marks of candidates who qualify in Skill Test. Shortlisting for Skill Test in the ratio of 1:5.
CBT will be conducted at metropolitan cities. Skill Test / Personal Interview at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh. Negative marking of 0.25 for wrong answers in CBT. Detailed syllabus is available in the notification.
