✅ Punjab & Sind Bank CRO Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Indian Citizen / Subject of Nepal or Bhutan / Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01.01.1962 / Person of Indian Origin as per Government of India rules (eligibility certificate required where applicable).
- Age Limit (as on 01.09.2026): Minimum 40 years and less than 55 years of age.
- Educational Qualification (as on 12.09.2026): Graduate Degree from a University/Institution recognised by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies, along with any one of the following:
- Professional certification in Financial Risk Management from GARP (FRM); or
- Professional Risk Management Certification from PRMIA Institute; or
- At least two years’ experience as Chief Risk Officer in a regulated lending entity where appointment of CRO requires Board approval.
- Desirable Qualifications: CFA Charter (CFA Institute), CA (ICAI or equivalent), CMA (ICMAI or equivalent), Postgraduate degree in Finance / Economics / Banking / Risk Management / Business Administration or related field, or specialised certification in treasury/credit/operational/cyber/climate risk, data analytics or model-risk management.
- Mandatory Experience: At least five years experience in Corporate Credit and Risk Management at the level of Assistant General Manager or above in one or more Public Sector Banks; or equivalent senior position in one or more regulated lending entities with minimum one year in Corporate Credit and one year in Risk Management.
- Desirable Experience: Good understanding of market risk and/or liquidity management and/or operational risk, with exposure to analytics.
✅ Punjab & Sind Bank CRO Tenure, Salary & Other Terms:
- Tenure: Initially for a fixed contractual period of 3 years, extendable by one year at a time, subject to a maximum term of 5 years and annual performance review by the Board / Risk Management Committee of the Board.
- Remuneration: Compensation and terms & conditions will be negotiated / finalized depending upon the suitability of the candidate.
- Leave: 30 days paid leave per calendar year (not more than 5 days at a time). Unavailed leave lapses at the end of the contract year.
- Nature of Engagement: Purely contractual. It shall not confer any right to regular employment or absorption. PF / Gratuity / Pension shall not apply.
- Location: Preferably Head Office / Corporate Office of the Bank (New Delhi). Bank reserves the right to post the candidate to any office in India.
✅ Job Profile of Chief Risk Officer:
The CRO shall oversee the entire Risk Management process of the Bank at group level (Domestic Operations, Domestic Subsidiaries and Branches). Key areas include:
- Credit Risk Management
- Market Risk Management
- Operational Risk Management
- Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk Management
- Review of risk models, policies, procedures and pricing models
- Implementation of BASEL guidelines as per RBI directives
- Fraud Risk Management, EIRMS, policy and cyber risk governance

- Preliminary scrutiny of applications (age, qualification, experience)
