✅ BMC Head Clerk Recruitment 2026 Selection Process:
Selection is through a departmental online objective examination. There is no negative marking. Candidates must attempt the full paper in 100 minutes and secure at least 50% marks in each of Sections A, B and C (overall 50/100). Previous exam concessions / exemptions will not apply.

Section A: Municipal Administration Rules & Procedures — 70 questions, 70 marks, minimum 35

Section B: Marathi Grammar 10 + English Grammar 10 — 20 marks, minimum 5 in each paper (English paper in English; Class 12 standard)

Section C: General Knowledge — 10 questions, 10 marks, minimum 5 (includes Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969)

Section A covers MMC Act 1888, Services Rules 1989, Pension Rules 1953, PF Act 1925, Conduct Rules 1999, Water Charges Rules, inquiry manuals, labour wage / compensation / gratuity Acts, RTI Act 2005 and office circulars. Other papers except English Grammar are in Marathi.
