✅ ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification – Ex-ITI Candidates:
- Fitter / Electrician / Machinist: 10th/Matriculation with minimum 50% marks (Science & Mathematics) + NTC in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT (one year or above).
- Carpenter / Painter / Welder: 10th with minimum 50% marks + NTC in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT (one year or above).
- PASAA: 10th with minimum 50% marks + NTC in Information Technology / COPA / Database System Administration Assistant / Software Testing Assistant from NCVT/SCVT (one year or above).
Educational Qualification – Fresher Candidates:
- Fitter / Electrician / Machinist / Carpenter / Painter: 10th pass with minimum 50% aggregate marks under 10+2 system or equivalent (Training: 2 years).
- Welder: 10th pass with minimum 50% aggregate marks (Training: 1 year 3 months).
- MLT – Radiology / Pathology: 12th/HSC pass with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Training: 1 year 3 months).
Important Restriction: Candidates possessing higher qualifications (Degree / Diploma / Engineering Degree / Course Completed Act Apprenticeship) are not eligible, except for MLT trades where 12th is the prescribed qualification.
Age Limit (as on 07.09.2026):
- ITI Candidates: 15 to 23 years (should have completed 15 years and should not have completed 24 years).
- Non-ITI / Fresher Candidates: 15 to 21 years (should have completed 15 years and should not have completed 22 years).
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years.
Tamil Nadu Eligibility: Preference to candidates who are residents of Tamil Nadu and/or registered with a local Employment Exchange within Tamil Nadu (registration not after the last date of application). Exception for wards of Railway employees (with prescribed documents).

✅ ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process:
- Merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in 10th Standard.
- For COVID Pass candidates in Class 10: Class 9 marksheet / Class 10 half-yearly marksheet (duly signed by Principal) may be considered.
- Tie-Breaking: Older candidate preferred; if DOB same, candidate who passed Class 10 earlier preferred.
- Trade allotment for Fresher candidates as per preference, merit and vacancy availability (no change request entertained after allotment).
- Ex-ITI candidates will be trained in the trade mentioned in their ITI certificate.
- Selected candidates must be physically fit as per Apprentices Act & Rules and produce Medical Certificate from Government-authorized doctor (not below Assistant Surgeon).
