Indian Army has released the official notification for JAG Entry Scheme 125th Course (April 2027) for Short Service Commission (JAG) for Law Graduates (Men & Women). This is an excellent opportunity for unmarried law graduates to join the Indian Army as Officers in the Judge Advocate General’s Branch.

Indian Army JAG Entry 2026 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nationality: Indian citizens (as per rules).
  • Marital Status: Unmarried Male and Unmarried Female candidates only.
  • Age Limit (as on 01 Jan 2027): 21 to 27 years (Born not earlier than 02 Jan 2000 and not later than 01 Jan 2006 – both dates inclusive). Date of birth as recorded in Matriculation/Secondary School Certificate will only be accepted.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree (three-year professional after graduation or five-year after 10+2).
    • Must have appeared for CLAT PG Exam 2026 (conducted in Dec 2025). Only CLAT PG 2026 score is acceptable.
    • Candidate should be eligible for registration as an Advocate with Bar Council of India/State.
    • Degree from a College/University recognized by Bar Council of India.
  • Note: Only candidates holding LLB Degree and Marksheet are eligible. CLAT PG 2026 result must be verified at the Selection Centre before SSB; otherwise candidature will be cancelled.

Eligible candidates must apply ONLINE ONLY through the official Indian Army website. No offline applications will be accepted.

Step 1: Visit the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on ‘Officer Entry Appln/Login’ and then ‘Registration’ (skip if already registered).

Step 3: After registration, click ‘Apply Online’ under Dashboard → Select ‘Short Service Commission JAG Entry Course’.

Step 4: Fill Personal Information, Communication Details, Education Details and previous SSB details carefully. Save & Continue each segment.

Step 5: Review the Summary page thoroughly and click ‘Submit’.
