The selection will be made in two stages:

Stage-I: Written Examination (Objective Type) – 120 marks (2 hours duration)
- English – 30 marks
- General Knowledge – 10 marks
- General Aptitude – 10 marks
- Knowledge in Law – 50 marks
- Knowledge of Assamese Language – 20 marks

Candidates must secure minimum 40% marks (8 out of 20) in Assamese Language section to qualify (marks not counted in merit).

Stage-II: Interview / Viva-Voce – 30 marks

Candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:3. Minimum 60% marks (18 out of 30) required in Interview to qualify.

Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks (Written + Interview).
