The selection will be conducted in multiple stages as per previous UP Police recruitment pattern:

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)
Objective type offline/online written examination consisting of questions from General Knowledge & General Awareness, General Hindi, Numerical & Mental Ability, Mental Aptitude, Intelligence Quotient and Reasoning Ability. Qualifying marks and negative marking will be as per detailed notification. -
Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
Qualifying in nature. Candidates have to qualify race (Male: 4.8 km in 25 minutes | Female: 2.4 km in 14 minutes) and height/chest measurement as per category and post-wise standards. -
Stage 3: Document Verification

Stage 4: Medical Examination
Final medical fitness test conducted by the Medical Board as per UP Police medical standards.
