Pay Scale (Monthly):

  • Botanist: Level 7 (7th CPC Pay Matrix, approx. ₹44,900–1,42,400)
  • Assistant Drugs Controller (India): Level 11 (7th CPC Pay Matrix, approx. ₹67,700–2,08,700)
  • Junior Scientific Officer: Level 8 (7th CPC Pay Matrix, approx. ₹47,600–1,51,100)

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit (as on 31/07/2025):

  • Botanist: 30 years (UR)
  • Assistant Drugs Controller: 40 years (UR/EWS), 43 years (OBC), 45 years (SC/ST), 50 years (PwBD)
  • Junior Scientific Officer: 30 years (UR)
  • Relaxation: As per UPSC/Government norms for reserved categories

Educational Qualifications & Experience:

  • Botanist: M.Sc. in Botany/Horticulture/Life Sciences/Agriculture from a recognized university + 3 years’ experience.
  • Assistant Drugs Controller: (i) M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech in Bio-Medical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bio-Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Medical Electronics Engineering, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine (Clinical Pharmacology), Microbiology, Bio-Chemistry, Chemistry, or Life Sciences from a recognized university/institute + 4 years’ experience (for B.E./B.Tech) or relevant qualifications.
  • Junior Scientific Officer: Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Bacteriology, Medicine, Microbiology, or Biotechnology from a recognized university/institute + 4 years’ experience in drug testing, standardization, or research.
