OPSC VAS Salary:
Rs. 56,100/- in Level 12, Cell-1 of Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017, with usual Dearness and other Allowances as sanctioned by the Government of Odisha.
OPSC VAS Eligibility Criteria:
✔️ Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025):
21 to 42 Years (born between 02/01/1983 and 01/01/2004). Age relaxation: 5 years for SEBC/SC/ST/Women/Ex-Servicemen, 10 years for PwD (≥40% disability), and 15 years for PwD belonging to SEBC/SC/ST. Only one relaxation benefit applies.
✔️ Educational Qualifications:
(1) Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from a recognized University/College/Institution in India or abroad.
(2) Conversion certificates recognized by Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for foreign degrees.
(3) Valid Registration Certificate under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970 (Section 21).
✔️ Other Conditions:
(1) Indian citizenship.
(2) Sound health, free from physical defects affecting duties.
(3) Ability to speak, read, and write Odia with required Odia test pass certificate.
(4) No more than one living spouse (exceptions apply under personal law).
(5) Government servants must provide No Objection Certificate (NOC) during document verification.
OPSC VAS Selection Process:
✔️ Written Examination: Two papers (Paper-I: Veterinary Science, Paper-II: Animal Science), each with 200 MCQ questions, 400 marks, and 2½ hours duration. Total marks: 800.
✔️ Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates (5 for ≤2 vacancies, twice the number for >2 vacancies) will undergo document verification based on written exam merit.
OPSC VAS Application Fee:
✔️ No application fee (exempted for all categories as per GA & PG Department Notification).
