Visiting Professor: Superannuated Professors from IITs, PhD with administrative experience (e.g., Head of Department/Dean for 3+ years).
Visiting Assistant Professor/Postdoctoral Fellow: PhD with first-class or equivalent in preceding degree (preferably B.Tech in relevant engineering discipline for engineering posts); Postdoctoral Fellow requires <1 year post-PhD experience.
