✅ SSB Odisha Teacher Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit:
The minimum age limit for all categories of candidates shall be 21 years, and the maximum age shall be 38 years as of January 1, 2024. In other words, he/she must have been born not earlier than January 2, 1986, and not later than January 1, 2003.
The upper age limit prescribed above is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), Women, and Ex-Servicemen. Similarly, the upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for candidates belonging to the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories whose disability (permanent) is 40% and more.
Educational Qualifications:
Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Arts: Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Commerce or a Shastri (Sanskrit) Degree with two school subjects + Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.l / 3 years integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (OR) Four-years integrated B.A. B.Ed.+ the candidate must have passed the Bachelor's Degree with any two school subjects offered as Pass / Hons. / Elective / Optional / Compulsory / Foundation subjects out of the following: Economics, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Indian Economy, Indian Geography, Indian Politics, Landmarks in Indian History, odia, Political science and Sanskrit
Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – PCM / CBZ: Bachelor's Degree in Science / B.Tech. / B.E with two school subjects + Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) / 3 years integrated B.Ed. - M.Ed. (OR) Four-years integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. + Bachelor's Degree with any two school subjects offered as Pass / Hons. / Elective / Optional / Compulsory subject out of the fo[lowing: For Trained Graduate - Mathematics, For Trained Graduate Teacher - Science (CBZ): Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Biotechnology.
Hindi Teacher: Bachelor's Degree with Hindi as one of the Elective/ Optional/ Hons. / Pass subjects + Hindi Sikshan Parangat / B.Ed. in Hindi / B.H.Ed.
Classical Teacher (Sanskrit): Bachelors' Degree with Sanskrit as one of the Elective/ Optional/ Hons. /Pass subjects + Shiksha Shashtri (Sanskrit), a course prescribed by NCTE (OR) Shashtri in Sanskrit + Shiksha Shashtri (Sanskrit).
Urdu Teacher: Atim / Faz + B.Ed / Urdu B.Ed. (OR) B.A. (Persian + B.Ed / Urdu B.Ed.
P.E.T: Matric+2 or its equivalent examination + C.P.Ed. / D.P.Ed. / B.P.Ed./M P.Ed.
