- Intermediate / 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing at least 60% in PCM.
For Head Constable (Radio Mechanic):
- Matriculation or equivalent plus 2-year ITI in Radio and Television / General Electronics / COPA / Data Preparation and Computer Software / Electrician / Fitter / Info Technology & Electronics System Maintenance / Communication Equipment Maintenance / Computer Hardware / Network Technician / Mechatronics / Data Entry Operator. OR
- Intermediate / 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing at least 60% in PCM.
BSF Head Constable Selection Process:
- Phase 1: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- Phase 2: Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Phase 3: Document Verification, Dictation & Paragraph Reading Test (for HC/RO only), and Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME).
