Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Assam invites Online applications from LP & UP Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualified candidates with professional qualification, who are Citizens of India as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent resident of Assam, for filling up 3914 Vacancies of Assistant Teachers at Lower Primary and Upper Primary School in various districts of Assam State on contractual basis. The last date for submission of online applications is 25th October 2016.

Essential Qualification and Experience:
Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary School ->
(1) At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with LP- TET/CTET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes (OR)
(2) At least 45% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with LP- TET/CTET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations,2002. (OR)
(3) At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with LP- TET/CTET and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) (OR)
(4) At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with LP- TET/CTET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education) (OR)
(5) Graduation from UGC recognized University with LP-TET/CTET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes
Assistant Teachers in Upper Primary – Social Science ->
(1) Graduation from UGC recognized University with UP-TET/CTET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes. (OR)
(2) Graduation with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with UP- TET/CTET and 1-year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University. (OR)
(3) Graduation with at least 45% marks from UGC recognized University with UP- TET/CTET and 1-year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. (OR)
(4) Graduation with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with UP-TET/CTET and 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education) from recognized Institutes/ University.
Assistant Teachers in Upper Primary – Maths & Science ->
(1) B.Sc. from UGC recognized University with UP-TET/CTET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes. (OR)
(2) B.Sc. with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with UP- TET/CTET and 1-year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/ University. (OR)
(3) B.Sc. with at least 45% marks from UGC recognized University with UP- TET/CTET and 1-year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. (OR)
(4) B.Sc. with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with UP- TET/CTET and 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education) from recognized institutes/ University.
How to Apply: Eligible Candidates shall Apply Online through SSA Assam Website on or before 25/10/2016 of Midnight. The online application and documents submitted by the candidates will be verified along with their original testimonials, in the respective Districts by the District Level Selection Committee. The District level verification will be held in the respective districts from 01/11/2016 to 20/11/2016.
