Educational Qualification and Experience:

Professor ->

(A1) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in Economics and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
(A2) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/national level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
(A3) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology - mediated teaching learning process.
(A4) Minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as per 'UGC (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) Regulations, 2010' and its amendments vide (2nd Amendment) Regulations 2013, (3rd Amendment) Regulations 2016, and (4th Amendment) Regulations 2016. (B) An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

Associate Professor ->

(1) For Associate Professor (Economics): Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in Economics. For Associate Professor (Rural Sociology): Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in Sociology.
(2) For Associate Professor (Economics): Master's Degree in Economics with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). For Associate Professor (Rural Sociology): Master's Degree in Sociology with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
(4) Minimum eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or
research/policy papers.
(5) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology -mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
(6) Minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as per 'UGC (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) Regulations,
2010' and its amendments vide (2nd Amendment) Regulations 2013, (3rd Amendment) Regulations 2016, and (4th Amendment) Regulations 2016.

Research Associate ->

(1) Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in Economics.
(2) Desirable - Evidence of independent research work and good working knowledge of computer software packages and applications. Candidates should be willing to work in rural areas.
