Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) Department of Health issued notification for a Competitive Examination-Combined Medical Services Examination to be held by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in 2014 for the purpose of filling vacancies in the various services/posts in Govt Ministries/Departments.

Age Limit: 32 Years as on 1st January, 2014 [i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1982]
Age Relaxation -> 05 Years for SC/ST; 03 Years for OBC; 05 Years for Jammu and Kashmir Residents before 31st day of December, 1989; For other check out Official Notification.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600-39,100 in the Pay Band PB-3 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400. Non-practicing allowance (NPA) and other allowances will be paid as per orders in force from time to time. The rate of NPA at present is 25% of basic pay (Pay in pay band+Grade Pay).
Educational Qualification: MBBS
Selection Process: Written Examination (500 Marks) and Interview (100 Marks).
