Essential Qualifications:
(a) MBBS Degree recognized by MCI (OR) 1st class Master's degree in Life/Biological Sciences from a recognized University. (OR) 2nd Class M.Sc + Ph. D degree in Life Sciences/Biological Sciences from a recognized University.
(b) Eight years R & D research/teaching experience in the area of Medical subject or Life/Biological Sciences including experience of publication/editing of scientific journals/books/bulletins in recognized institute(s) after obtaining
essential qualification (i) out of which at least 2 years in managerial position to handle R & D projects in a team effectively in a directing capacity.
Desirable Qualifications:
(a) MD degree in any subject of Medical discipline from recognized by MCI Or Ph.D in any subject of Life Sciences/Biological Sciences from a recognized university for candidates with first class in relevant degree.
(b) Additional Post doctoral research / teaching experience in any medical/ biomedical discipline from a recognized institute(s).
(c) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/Data Management.

Scientist- B (Anthropology/Social Behavioral Science) -> 1st Class Master's Degree in Sociology/Medical Social Work or equivalent degree from a recognized University. (OR) 2nd Class M.Sc + Ph.D degree relevant subject from a recognized University.
Selection Process: Written Test and Interview. Written test will be conducted at New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, on a date to be intimated later. These posts carry all India service liability and the selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India or abroad by the Competent Authority.
Application Fee: Rs. 500/- for General and OBC category candidates and Rs.100/- for SC & ST community candidates. The fee in the form of crossed demand draft (DD) of any Bank drawn in favour of Director General, ICMR, New Delhi payable at New Delhi. PWD category Candidates are not required to pay for this fee.
