Educational Qualifications:
Junior Technical Assistant -> Degree in Commerce or Economics or Degree in Law from a recognised University.
Quarantine Inspector -> Bachelor of Science with Zoology or Microbiology as one of the essential subjections from a recognized University or Institution. Two years' experience of conducting research or experiments or measurement in a veterinary laboratory of Central or State Government or any University of Indian Council of Agricultural Research or of any autonomous body.
Research Assistant -> A Master's Degree in relevant speciality i.e. Zoology / Microbiology / Biochemistry. Two years' practical experience in a Medical/Research Laboratory.
Assistant Programmer -> Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology or Master's Degree in Computer Application or Computer Science or Master of Technology with specialization in Computer Application from a recognized University. Two years' experience of electronics data processing work including experience of actual programming.
Assistant Epigraphist -> Master's degree in Tamil / Malayalam / Telugu / Kannada with Ancient Indian History as a subject at Bachelor's degree level from a recognized University or equivalent; (OR) Master's degree in History with Ancient Indian History as a subject and Tamil / Malayalam / Telugu / Kannada as one of the subjects at Bachelor's degree level from a recognized university or equivalent.
Artist -> Pass in Matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized Board. Diploma of a recognized Art School or College. Ability to prepare models of Zoological objects (from live, preserved or dissected material) in clay plaster or papur Mache. Ability to prepare Zoological Models in natural colour.
Sales Assistant -> Intermediate or possessing an equivalent qualification from recognized University/Board. About 3 years experience of field work in a publishing House or a book-seller of standing or in a similar organization under Central or State Government dealing with the sale and distribution of publications and other publicity Literature.
Selection Process: Proficiency Test / Skill Test / Interview
Application Fee: Rs.50/- in the form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) which are available in all Post Offices. All Female Candidates, SC/ST/PH category candidates are exempted from the fee.

Instructor (Marine Engineering) -> Degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering. One year's experience in operation and maintenance of Diesel Engines in a recognized Mechanical or Marine Workshop or Institution.
Instructor (Drawing) -> Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. One year experience in the field of Engineering drawing and machine drawing in a recognized Mechanical or Marine Workshop or Institution.
Senior Research Assistant -> Master's Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or Institution.
Quarantine Inspector -> M.Sc in Microbiology from a recognized University or Institution.
