Educational Qualifications:

Reader ->

(1) Essential - A First Class Masters Degree in Geophysics /Applied Geophysics /Exploration Geophysics Research experience of at least five years in relevant subject is essential.

(2) Desirable - Ph.D in Solid Earth studies with Seismology background. Masters/Ph.Ds from reputed national/international institutes/ universities are preferred. Candidates with Ph.Ds obtained from foreign universities and with some postdoctoral experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Technical Officer ->

(1) Essential - First or high second class Master's degree in Geophysics / Geology. 2 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory / Institute/ University.
(2) Desirable - Knowledge and experience in any one of the following: a) Geomagnetism and related fields b) GIS and geophysical potential fields.

Technical Assistant -> First or high second class B. Lib. Science with B.Sc. degree.

Stenographer ->

(1) Essential - SSC with minimum shorthand speed of 80 w.p.m. and typing speed of 40 w.p.m. Good command over English is essential.
(2) Desirable - Good Knowledge of MS Office and proficiency in computer application.

Indian Institute of Geomagnetism (IIG) offers Doctoral Programme in Geomagnetism and Allied Fields pertinent to studies of Solid Earth, Upper Atmosphere and Observatory Data Analysis. Selected candidates will be required to do research work at IIG-Navi Mumbai/EGRL-Tirunelveli/KSKGRL-Allahabad.

4.    SRTM University, Nanded (Geophysics, Environmental Science)

6.    Manonmaniam Sundarnar University, Tirunelveli (Physics)

Educational Qualifications: M.Sc. / M.Sc. (Tech.) in Physics/ Atmospheric Physics / Space Physics/ Geophysics/ Applied Geology with a minimum of 60 % marks throughout and Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics as a subject in B.Sc.

Place of Work: Mumbai or Regional centres at EGRL Tirunelveli/KSKGRL Allahabad.
