1173 DSC Platoon and 1179 DSC Platoon (Ministry of Defence, Government of India) invites applications from the Indian nationals for recruitment of Group 'C' post for filling up by direct recruitment in Defence Security Corps (1173 DSC Platoon attached with , INS Kattabomman, Naval Base, South Vijayanarayanam, Tirunelveli - 627119, Tamil Nadu Un reserved (General Category) and 1179 DSC Platoon attached with INS Rajali, Arakopnam, Pin-631006 (T.N), Un reserved (General) (PH - OH). The appointment is temporary and probation period is 02 years from, the date of appointment.

Educational Qualification:
(1) 12th Class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
(2) Working knowledge of computer and typing speed of 30 words per minute in English.
Selection Process: The examination will consist of two parts viz Written Test and Interview. Written test will consist of one paper of 80 marks containing 4 parts: (a) General intelligence and clerical aptitude, (b) English'Language, (c) Numerical Aptitude, (d) General Awareness. 20 Marks each part consisting of objective and multiple choice type. Total time allowed for the examination 1 hour and 45 minutes. Those who qualify in above 04 parts written test will be allowed for'typewriting test. Typewritting Test will be 10 Minutes Exam. Typing of 30 words per minutes in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi is essential.

(a) Two copies recent passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer of which one photograph should be affixed on the application form at the appropriate place.
(b) Attested copies of certificates and testimonials in proof of age/date of birth/educational qualification/experience etc.

(d) Those candidates who are employed in Govt/Semi Govt/Autonomous bodies etc should send their application through "Proper Channel".
