Educational Qualifications:
A) i) Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent; and ii) 5 years experience in manufacturing and fitting of Prosthetics and Orthotics appliances including 2 years experience of workshop management, teaching and conducting training courses. (OR)
B) i) Diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent; ii) 7 years experience in manufacturing and fitting of Prosthetics and Orthotics appliances including 3 years experience of workshop management, teaching and conducting training courses.

Eligibility:

(II) Deputation/Re-employment for Armed Forces Personnel:
The Armed Forces Personnel of the rank of Second Lieutenant or equivalent, who are due to retire or to be transferred or to retire within a period of one year and have the experience prescribed for deputationists shall also be considered. If selected, such officers will be given deputation terms upto the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces; thereafter they may be continued on Re-employment terms. In case such eligible officers who have retired or have been transferred to reserve before the actual selection to the post is made their appointment will be on Re-employment basis (Re-employment upto the age of superannuation with reference to civil posts).
