✅ Pay Scale:
✔️ Junior Hindi Translator (JHT)/Junior Translation Officer (JTO)/Junior Translator (JT): Pay Level-6 (₹ 35,400 – 1,12,400 per month).
✔️ Senior Hindi Translator (SHT)/Senior Translator (ST): Pay Level-7 (₹ 44,900 – 1,42,400 per month).
✔️ Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF: Pay Level-6 (₹ 35,400 – 1,12,400 per month).
✅ Eligibility Criteria:
✔️ Age Limit:
18-30 years as on 01/08/2025 (born between 02/08/1995 and 01/08/2007) for JHT/JTO/JT/SHT/ST. For Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF, born between 25/06/1995 and 26/06/2007. Age relaxation as per rules:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD (Unreserved): 10 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 years after deduction of military service
✔️ Educational Qualifications (as on 01/08/2025):
Junior Hindi Translator (JHT)/Junior Translation Officer (JTO)/Junior Translator (JT) and Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator):
(1) Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination at degree level, OR
(2) Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination, OR
(3) Master’s degree in any subject (other than Hindi/English) with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory/elective subject or medium, OR
(4) Master’s degree in any subject (other than Hindi/English) with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject, OR
(5) Master’s degree in any subject (other than Hindi/English) with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either as medium of examination, AND
(6) Recognized Diploma/Certificate in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa, OR two years’ experience in translation work in Central/State Government offices.
Senior Hindi Translator (SHT)/Senior Translator (ST):
Same as above, but requires three years’ experience in translation work instead of two.
Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF - Additional Requirements:
(1) Physical Standards (Male): Height - 165 cm (162.5 cm for ST and specific regions); Chest - 77 cm unexpanded, 82 cm expanded (76 cm/81 cm for ST); Weight - As per medical standards.
(2) Physical Standards (Female): Height - 155 cm (150 cm for ST and specific regions).
(3) Medical Standards: Vision - 6/6 in one eye, 6/9 in other without correction; no knock knee, flat foot, squint, or varicose veins; high color vision; good mental and physical health.
✅ Selection Process:
✔️ Computer-Based Examination (Paper-I: Objective, Paper-II: Descriptive).
✔️ Document Verification by User Departments.
✔️ For Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF: Physical Efficiency Test (1-mile run in 10 minutes), Physical/Medical Standards.
✔️ Final selection based on merit and post preferences.
✅ Application Fee:
✔️ ₹ 100/- for General/ OBC candidates.
✔️ No fee for SC/ ST/ Women/ Ex-Servicemen/ PwBD candidates.
✔️ Payment through online mode (Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI/Net Banking) via SSC portal.
