Pay Scale:

Scientist-B: ₹ 56,100 – ₹ 1,77,500/- per month (Level-10, 7th CPC) plus allowances as per ICFRE rules.

Eligibility Criteria:

✔️ Age Limit:

21 to 35 years as on 15/07/2025.
Relaxation: 5 years for ICFRE employees (post-probation), 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) as per Government of India rules.

✔️ Educational Qualifications:

Hydrology (SHYD): First Class Master’s in Water-Resources & Environment Management/Hydrology/Soil & Water Conservation OR First Class B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (specialization in Water Resources/Hydrology/Soil & Water Conservation). Desirable: M.Tech./Ph.D.
Pathology (SPTH): First Class Master’s in Plant Pathology OR Botany/Forestry/Agriculture/Microbiology (specialization in Plant/Forest Pathology). Desirable: Ph.D.
Chemistry (SCHE): First Class Master’s in Chemistry (specialization in Organic Chemistry). Desirable: Ph.D.
Soil Science (SSSC): First Class Master’s in Soil Science OR Forestry/Agriculture (specialization in Soil Science). Desirable: Ph.D.
Forest Economics (SECM): First Class Master’s in Forestry (specialization in Forest Economics). Desirable: Ph.D.
Botany (SBOT): First Class Master’s in Botany (specialization in Plant Taxonomy). Desirable: Ph.D.

Selection Process:

✔️ Written Examination: 100 objective-type questions (bilingual: English/Hindi) on the relevant subject, 400 marks, 2 hours duration. 4 marks for each correct answer, 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: General/EWS: 50%, OBC: 45%, SC/ST: 40%.
✔️ Personal Interview: 70 marks (5% of marks for desirable qualification). Top candidates (1:5 ratio per post) based on written exam merit will be called.
✔️ Final merit based on combined marks of written exam and interview. Tie-breaker: Higher written exam marks, then older age.

Application Fee:

✔️ ₹ 2,000/- (Exam Fee ₹1,000 + Processing Fee ₹1,000) for UR/EWS/OBC candidates.
✔️ ₹1,000/- (Processing Fee only) for SC/ST/Women/PWD candidates.
✔️ Payment via  Online payment mode using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking through the online portal.

How to Apply for ICFRE Scientist-B Recruitment 2025:

➢ Eligible candidates Apply online through recruitment.icfre.gov.in from 16/06/2025 to 15/07/2025.
➢ Upload Documents: Scanned passport-size photo (≤100 KB, jpeg/png), signature (≤100 KB, jpeg/png), certificates (age proof, qualifications, caste, EWS, specialization, GPA conversion, NOC for government employees, ICFRE service certificate; 1-5 MB, pdf), valid email ID, and mobile number.
➢ Fill all mandatory fields, upload documents, and verify details before final submission. No changes allowed post-submission or payment.
➢ The Candidates applying for multiple posts must submit separate applications and fees.
➢ Save the registration number and print the application form for future reference.
