Age Limit: Not Exceeding 28 Years as on 30/06/2014.
Monthly Remuneration: Rs.16,000/- p.m. consolidated plus admissible House Rent Allowance (HRA), which is at present @ 20%, subject to satisfactory performance. In case the performance of the selected candidate is not found to be satisfactory, the fellowship can be terminated. Sufficient supporting continent grant for field work etc. will be provided.
Educational Qualifications:
(1) Essential - 1st class M.Sc./M.Tech. degree in Geology /Applied Geology or allied subjects with consistently good academic record with NET qualification. Candidates who have cleared NET/ GATE, UGC- CSIR combined examination will be given preference. NET/GATE qualified candidates MUST attach an attested photocopy of NET/GATE qualifications with their application. In case adequate number of NET qualified candidates are not available, non-NET qualified candidates can also be considered. However, the fellowship payable to the Non-NET qualified candidates and to the NET qualified candidates for Lectureship only will be @ Rs.12,000/- + admissible HRA p.m. only.
(2) Throughout First class academic career. Working experiences in Computer applications like Matlab, ARCGIS, Geomatica etc. would be an additional merit.

Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology (WIHG) issued recruitment notification for Two posts of Research Associates in NGF. The posts appointment will be initially for a period of one year, may be extended annually based on performance of work.
