✅ IRCTC Hospitality Monitor Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Indian Nationals only.
- Age Limit (as on 01.09.2026): Maximum 35 years for UR candidates.
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years, Ex-Servicemen – extent of defence service + 3 years, as per Government guidelines.
- Educational Qualification (any one):
- Full time B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from CIHM / SIHM / PIHM affiliated to NCHM&CT / UGC / AICTE / Government of India; OR
- BBA / MBA (Culinary Arts) from Indian Culinary Institutes under Ministry of Tourism; OR
- B.Sc. Hotel Management and Catering Science from Government recognized Universities affiliated to UGC / AICTE / GoI / State Government; OR
- MBA (Tourism and Hotel Management) from Government recognized Universities affiliated to UGC / AICTE / GoI / State Government.
- Experience (linked with age):

✅ IRCTC Hospitality Monitor Salary 2026:
- CTC: ₹30,000 per month (inclusive of statutory deductions)
- Daily Allowance: ₹350 per day for on-duty on-board in train(s) — 100% for more than 12 hours, 70% for 6 to 12 hours, and 30% for less than 6 hours
- Lodging Charges: ₹240 only if night stay is involved at outstation
- National Holiday Allowance (NHA): ₹384 per National Holiday (if worked)
- Medical Insurance: ₹1,400 per month (upto 35 years) | ₹2,000 per month (36–50 years) — reimbursable on submission of valid documents
Selected candidates have to furnish a Security Deposit of ₹25,000 in the form of Demand Draft. Minimum service of one year is required, failing which the SD amount is liable to be forfeited.
✅ IRCTC Hospitality Monitor Job Profile / Scope of Work:
- Supervision and monitoring of food production, quality and services in nominated mobile catering units (Vande Bharat / Mail / Express trains / TSVs), Tourist Trains and Bharat Gaurav Trains
- Supervision and monitoring of food production and quality in nominated static catering units / Base Kitchens / Cluster Kitchens supplying meals to Vande Bharat trains
- Ensure working of equipment, proper pest control and cleaning of mini pantry / pantry by service provider staff after each round trip
- Movement in trains all over India as per duty requirement
- Ensure compliance of company policies and standard hospitality procedures
- Ensure proper manpower and materials for nominated mobile / static catering units
- Resolve passenger care issues and complaint management
- Collect feedback, analyse it and take course correction
- Ensure statutory compliance / regulations
- Supervise and educate staff in efficient upkeep of equipment
- Coordinate with various departments, offices and business partners

Final Merit: Based on credentials and performance in the personal interview. Offer of engagement will be issued in order of merit, subject to verification of antecedents. This engagement is purely on Fixed Term Contract and will not confer any right for regular / permanent employment in IRCTC.
