Government of India, Income-tax Department Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income tax, Gujarat invites applications from Indian Citizens for the recruitment of meritorious sports persons in different games and sports for the posts of Inspector of Income-tax, Tax Assistant and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) for filling up total 47 Vacancies. The probation period will be of 02 Years. The last date for submission of online applications is 12th September 2016.

Education Qualification as on 01/01/2016:
Inspector of Income-tax -> Degree of a recognized university or equivalent.
Tax Assistant -> Degree of a recognized university or equivalent and Data Entry Speed of 8000 key depression per hour.
MTS -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized University / Board.
Age Relaxation: 05 years for General / OBC candidates; 10 years in case of SC/ST candidates.
List of Games / Sports: Hockey (MEN), Football (MEN), Cricket (MEN), Kabaddi (MEN), Swimming (MEN & WOMEN), Table-tennis (WOMEN), Volley-ball (MEN), Athletics, Basketball (MEN).
Sports Eligibility: Appointments can be made of a sportsperson in any of required games/sports considered meritorious with reference to the following criteria: Sports-persons having represented;
(1) The Country in an International Competition with the clearance of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports,
(2) A State/UT in a National Competition organized by the National Sports Federations recognized by Department of Youth Affairs and Sports or National Games organized by Indian Olympic Association.
(3) Their University in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Association of Indian Universities / Inter-University Sports Board.
(4) The State Schools Team in the National Sports / Games for schools conducted by All India School Games Federation; or
(5) Sportsperson, who has been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive.
Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Ground / Proficiency Test (Field trial) and Written Examination.
