Essential Qualifications:
(1) Master's Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with atleast 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scales and a consistently good academic record set out in these Regulations.
(2) Atleast 13 years experience as a Deputy Librarian in a university library or 18 years experience as a College Librarian.
(3) Evidence of innovative library services and organization of published work.
(4) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff and measure for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2010.
Application fee: ₹ 1,000/- (A non-refundable) in the form of Bank Draft in favour of 'The Indian Law Institute', payable at New Delhi is required to be submitted along with the application form. SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped (PH) and women candidates are exempted from payment offees.
How to Apply: Application forms can be obtained from the Reception Counter of the Indian Law Institute during working days from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The prescribed application format also available here. API score strictly as per UGC guidelines may be attached in a separate sheet.
Filled-in Application Form along with application processing fee, copies of other Documents / Certificates, should be sent by Registered Post/ Speed Post/ By Hand to: The Registrar, Indian Law Institute (Opp. Supreme Court of India), Bhagwan Das Road, New Delhi - 110 001. Envelope should be sealed & superscribed as "Application for the post of Librarian". The last date for submission of applications is 31/05/2016 up to 5:00 PM.
