Madras High Court Notification No. 256/2023 for 75 Law Clerk posts: High Court of Madras invites applications from eligible candidates for filling up total 75 vacant posts of Research Law Assistant to the Hon'ble Judges, High Court Madras (both in the Principal Seat at Madras and at Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court, Madurai) on adhoc basis for a period of one year. The closing date for receipt of applications is 8th December 2023.

✅ Madras High Court Research Law Assistant Salary:

A Consolidated amount of ₹ 30,000/- per month only.

✅ Madras High Court Research Law Assistant Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:

✔️ The candidate must not have attained the age of 30 years as on the 1st January or July, that precedes the last date fixed for submission of applications.

Educational Qualifications:

✔️ The Candidate should be a Graduate in Law (under 10+2+3+3, 10+2+5, 10+2+4+3 or any other recognized pattern at the decision of the committee) from recognized Universities in the Indian Union, and should be recognized by the Bar Council of India for admission as an Advocate or Attorney of an Indian Court.
✔️ Only candidates who have passed all their Examinations within the duration of their Course are eligible to apply.
✔️ Only candidates who have obtained their Law Degree not earlier than five years as on the date of Notification, are eligible to apply for the assignment of Research Law Assistant.
✔️Candidates pursuing a Post-Graduate Degree in Law, or any other Degrees or Programmes requiring their compulsory attendance elsewhere, are not eligible to apply for the assignment of Research Law Assistant.

✅ Madras High Court Research Law Assistant Application Fee:

There is no application fee required to pay for MHC Law Clerk / Research Law Assistant posts 2023-24.

Madras High Court Research Law Assistant 2023 selection on the basis of Viva Voce (Interview) Only.

Eligible candidates are required to take a printout of prescribed application format available at HC Madras Official Website (www.hcmadras.tn.nic.in) or check below table to get HC Madras Law Clerk application form.
The duly filled in application along with self attested copies of all educational certificates including the statement of marks obtained in Law Degree should be submitted through Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due addressed to "The Registrar General, High Court, Madras - 600104."
The postal cover envelope super scribe as "Application for the Post of Research Law Assistant to the Hon'ble Judges".
The filled in application form (soft copy) should also be sent through email at mhclawclerkrec@gmail.com.

✔️ Must be practising on the date of Notification as an advocate and must have so practised for a period of not less than seven years as on such date.
✔️ With regard to Assistant Public Prosecutor-Grade I or Assistant Public Prosecutor Grade-II, they must be having not less than seven years of experience as an Advocate and / or Assistant Public Prosecutor on the date of this notification.
