Job Location: Shillong (will involve extensive touring within the State)
Educational Qualifications:
Project Scientist -> Ph.D in Environmental Sciences / Remote Sencing & GIS / Geoinformatics / Earth and Atmospheric Sciences or related fields with significant work in the field of Climate Change. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in project design & coordination of multi-disciplinary project team, computational skills, 03 Years of experience in handling climate change issues/modeling of climate change / climate change analysis / spatial analysis and ecological modeling/ vulnerability assessment/Adaptation or mitigation projects.
JRF -> M.Sc in Environmental Sciences/Earth and Atmospheric Sciences / Geoinformatics / Statistics. Preference will be given to candidates having PG Diploma or higher degree in Remote Sensing and GIS after Master's degree, knowledge in handling and management of socio economic data its analysis using common statistical software packages and report writing One Year of experience in Field data collection related to Environmental study/ management of spatial database/ Remote Sensing, GIS analysis/advance computer application/ Computational ecology/predictive modeling/ design and data collection for analyzing anthropogenic drivers.
Project Assistant -> Degree in Commerce/Science stream with Post Graduate Diplomain Computer Application. One Year of experience in Field data collection and Computer applications and MS-Office.
