Educational Qualifications:
(a) Essential:
i) Second Class Honours or Second Class Master's Degree from a recognised University or equivalent with at least 50% marks in Honours Degree and minimum 55% marks in Madhyamik and 50% marks in Higher Secondary or equivalent from a recognised Board/Council;
ii) A Bachelor's Degree in Teaching or Education from a recognised University or equivalent;
iii) Good Knowledge of Bengali/Nepali -Spoken and Written; iv) Ability to undertake extensive tour on official duty.
(b) Desirable:
i) Teaching experience in Schools;
ii) Proficiency in Games and Sports;
iii) Ability to organise extra-curricular activities.

Educational Qualifications:
LECTURER ->
Foundation Course - M. Ed. / M.Ed. ( Elementary ) with 55% marks
or M.A. in Education with 55 % marks and Diploma / Degree in Primary / Elementary Education with 55 % marks.
Methodology Course - A Master's Degree of two years duration ( regular ) course, with Honours at Graduation Level, having at least 55% marks in relevant school teaching subject and Diploma /Degree in Education / Primary Education with 55% marks.
ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT -> A degree or diploma in Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Science or Dairying or a degree in Agriculture; Two years' practical experience of management of a large livestock farm or in any Animal Husbandry/Veterinary Extension Work.
ASSISTANT CONTROLLER -> Graduate in Science (with Physics as one of the subjects), Technology or Engineering or a recognised Diploma in Engineering; Three years' experience in a Government office or in a statutory body or in a commercial organization of repute; Knowledge of Bengali or Nepali, spoken and written.
SCIENTIFIC OFFICER -> A Second Class Master Degree in Anthropology with specialization in Physical Anthropology (OR) A degree in Science with Anthropology as one of the subjects. Five years' experience in Foot Print examination.
PROBATION-CUM-AFTER CARE OFFICER -> Degree or its equivalent; Administrative experience or social welfare works for at least two years.
ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT -> A Degree in any discipline; Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Hospital Administration/Hospital Management; Knowledge of Bengali - Spoken and Written.
ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN IN STATE CENTRAL LIBRARY -> A second class Master's degree in any subject, other than Library Science; Two years' experience in Library work in a public or in Institutional Libraries of repute; Knowledge of Bengali or Nepali - Spoken and Written.
GAMES MISTRESS -> A degree of a recognised University; Diploma in Physical Education with special aptitude for and training in Physical Culture, Games and School Sports; Ability to teach in English Medium.
DOMESTIC SCIENCE MISTRESS -> A degree with a diploma in Domestic or Home Science Training (OR) A degree in Home Science or Domestic Science (OR) A degree with at least two home Science subjects; Teaching experience in the subject in secondary school, preferably in an English medium one, relaxable for otherwise well-qualified candidates; Ability to teach in English Medium.
KINDERGARTEN MISTRESS -> A full course of training in a recognised training college for the training of teachers for Kindergarten work, relaxable for candidates having adequate experience as kindergarten teacher in English Medium; Ability to teach in English Medium.
TUNIOR ENGLISH MISTRESS -> A degree in Arts; Two years' experience of teaching of children; Ability to teach in English Medium.
DOCUMENTATION ASSISTANT / COMPUTER ASSISTANT -> Madhyamik Examination of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent; Certificate from any recognized Institution or Organisation regarding thorough knowledge of Computer application (MS Office); 3 years working experience in organizing any National and/or International level Film Festival.
